The Carmichael Symposium at the University of Iowa, part of the 100-year celebration of the department's founding, was excellent. Students and collaborators of Greg's from around the world returned to Iowa City and discussed his accomplishments.

My collaborators in University of Iowa Chemistry have led a new study on siloxanol partitioning, based on measurements of ambient gases and particles from our summer 2022 field deployment in New York City.

Our collaborators at the University of Colorado Boulder have some excellent new work on chamber experiments for oxidation of "D5" decamethylcyclopentasiloxane.

This paper, led by Jeewani Meepage in Betsy Stone's group, looks at the series of siloxanol aerosols formed from oxidation of decamethylpentasiloxane (D5), a common ingredient in personal care products. Samples from New York City ambient air are compared to laboratory oxidation products.
