Professor Jennifer Fiegel and I co-authored a presentation on the teaching assistant training we do in Chemical Engineering at the University of Iowa -- focusing on skills development, role playing as a way of training, and developing rapport with students.

I will be joining other chapter authors of Tending Iowa's Land by Connie Mutel, to hold a Senior College class that will explore some of the themes in the book: thriving rural communities, growing food, protecting soil, resiliency to climate change, reestablishing water quality in Iowa.

Marisol Contreras's paper, "Technoeconomic Analysis of Photoelectrochemical Hydrogen Production from Desalination Waste Brine using Concentrated Solar Flux," has been published in the International Journal of Hydrogen Energy.

Charles Stanier is a co-author of the online textbook Iowa 8th Grade Science Bundles: Applying Science to Iowa.

Beiming Tang, a recent PhD graduate from the University of Iowa, researched air quality modeling and pollution sources in South Korea. Now a post-doctoral researcher at NOAA, he focuses on UFS modeling and dry deposition code development.
